A baker we know came to us searching for a chili garlic blend she once relied on—something bold, savory, a little sweet, a little spicy… and no longer available.

So we rebuilt it from scratch.

In the process, we kept coming back to something familiar—the kind of chili garlic blends found on tables across Asia. Not reserved for one specific dish, not treated as an afterthought—just something always there, ready to bring food to life.

With Jon’s background—Thai by descent, raised in Okinawa—those flavors weren’t a concept. They were part of everyday meals. Chili garlic on the table. Heat balanced with savoriness. Something you reached for instinctively.
