🌿 About Us

We’re Carol and Jon Smith, the husband-and-wife team behind Green Magick Apothecary — a small-batch herbal business born from equal parts pain, passion, and purpose.

For me (Carol), this began long before it had a name. Green Magick was never just a business idea — it was a way to heal. My body, my mind, and my spirit had been through their own storms, and I needed something to bring me back to center.

So I turned to the earth.

It started simply — a few herbs, a small jar of oil, a handful of hope. I wasn’t trying to sell anything. I was trying to remember how to breathe. I made balms for friends in pain, teas for sleepless nights, and oils for my own scars. In time, I began to understand what the plants were teaching me — patience, trust, and how to listen when the world goes quiet.

That’s where this all began. Every product I make still carries that same energy — slow, intentional, and deeply personal. Each one has a story. Each one began as an act of love or necessity.

Jon came into this journey as both my partner in life and the balance I didn’t know I needed in business. He’s a U.S. military veteran, an artist, and a perfectionist in the best possible way. Where I bring intuition and heart, he brings vision, structure, and momentum.

If something looks refined, clean, or elevated in our brand — that’s Jon. He’s the one behind the lens, behind the strategy, and behind the quiet hum of our growth. He thinks big, then makes it happen.

When I say, “Let’s host a market,” Jon is already out there with a camera, filming every vendor, showing the world who they are. He’s the hype man, the face of our videos, the energy that gets people excited. He knows that when we all shine, we all do better — and he lives by that.

Jon keeps me grounded. He gives my creativity a home and helps me turn ideas into something tangible. I’m the eclectic, ADHD, intuitive whirlwind — he’s the calm precision that makes the vision real. He pushes me to expand, adapt, and keep growing, and he reminds me that the magick we’re building deserves to be seen.

Together, we’ve built Green Magick Apothecary as an extension of who we are — heart and craft, chaos and order, creativity and discipline. It’s more than an herbal brand to us; it’s the meeting place of healing and artistry, of ritual and everyday life.

As our brand grew, my purpose grew with it. I’ve found myself called not only to create but to advocate — for small makers, for honest business practices, and for the witchy community that deserves to be seen and respected.

Through Open Circle Events, a collaboration I co-host with another local business, we’ve helped create artisan markets built on fairness, inclusion, transparency, and mutual support. These events are about more than selling products — they’re about breaking barriers, celebrating individuality, and showing that when we lift each other up, we all rise.

We believe community should be a circle — open, not exclusive. We believe in freedom of expression, authenticity, and building a space where makers, witches, and dreamers can be wholly themselves.

At the end of the day, this isn’t just business for us. It’s a living ritual — one made from love, resilience, and a shared belief in the magick of connection. Every balm, every bottle, every jar carries a piece of our story and an invitation to begin your own.

Because this work — this journey — is more than what we make.
It’s who we are.

“We don’t just make products.
We craft tools for ritual, comfort, and connection —
small acts of magick meant to remind you that healing is holy,
and self-care can be sacred.”
