🫘 How to Use (Borracho Style)

For a bold, broth-forward pot of beans:

1. Rinse dry pinto beans.

2. Add beans to a pot with chopped onion, garlic, tomatoes, beef bouillon, and a ham hock.

3. Bring to a boil and simmer until the vegetables are soft and the ham hock is tender enough to remove the meat from the bone.

4. Add one Mexican beer, 4 tablespoons Rio Grande Reckoning, and the chopped stems of a bundle of cilantro.

5. Continue simmering until beans are tender.

6. Salt to taste near the end of cooking.

7. Adjust with additional seasoning as desired.

Serve borracho-style in a bowl with plenty of red broth.
Finish with fresh lime juice and chopped cilantro.
