As a Seasoning Blend
Use Boarfire Mild like any classic pork seasoning.
Season generously and add salt and pepper to taste.
Smoke low and slow. Finish with vinegar sauce if desired.
š„ To Recreate the Original Boarfire Mild Rub
Your original formula totaled 34 tablespoons and yielded 8 jars.
Of that:

14 Tbsp were sugar + salt

20 Tbsp were spice base
So your spice blend represented ~59% of the original recipe.
To recreate the original balance:
For Every 1 Tablespoon Boarfire Mild (New Version), Add:
⢠2 teaspoons brown sugar
⢠1 teaspoon kosher salt
This ratio returns it very close to the original sweet-smoke Carolina style.
To Recreate a Full Original Batch Size:
If using 20 Tbsp of the new salt-free Boarfire Mild:
Add:
⢠8 Tbsp brown sugar
⢠6 Tbsp total salt (4 Tbsp salt + 2 Tbsp celery salt if recreating exactly)
That brings it back to the original 34 Tbsp formula.
