🌿 Who We Are — and What We’re Building 🌿
It’s been a while since we’ve done a proper reintroduction — and so much has changed in the best way possible.
I’m Carol Smith, the heart behind Green Magick Apothecary, and my husband Jon Smith is the backbone that helps it all come to life. Together, we’ve built this apothecary from the ground up — a veteran-family-run, woman-owned small business rooted right here in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
For years, I followed Jon through his military career — moving from place to place, constantly rebuilding our lives and finding new ways to plant roots wherever we landed. When it finally became my turn to follow my calling, he turned right around and began walking beside me, supporting me with his steady presence, his creativity, and his unshakable belief in what we could create together.
Everything I make now carries both of us in it — my heart and vision, and his grounding strength and quiet power.
🌿 The Heart of Our Work
What started as a few herbal balms crafted from my kitchen cauldron has blossomed into a full collection of plant-powered self-care and ritual creations, including:
- Green Magick Balms — our original line of herbal healing and aromatherapy blends
- The Witch’s Bath — ritual soaks and bath magick for body and spirit
- Herbal Sanctum Body Care — lotions and potions for daily nourishment
- Wizard’s Keep Men’s Care — our men’s grooming line where ritual meets refinement
- Each formula is handcrafted with care, steeped in herbs, intention, and purpose — a reflection of our belief that:
✨ Healing is sacred. Self-care is a spell. ✨
Every product we offer is born from real people and real needs. Many of our most beloved creations were originally made for friends, family, or customers who came to me with something they were struggling with. Green Magick Apothecary has always been about connection — about crafting something meaningful that helps someone feel seen, comforted, and cared for.
🔥 From Vendor to Advocate
After spending a year on the vendor circuit — setting up our tent, hauling boxes, weathering windstorms, and watching our community from the other side of the table — I began to see both the beauty and the challenge of being a small maker in Colorado.
The long hours, the high fees, the inconsistent support — and yet, the incredible creativity and spirit of the vendor community inspired me deeply.
That’s when I realized my path wasn’t just about making herbal magick. It was about building something bigger.
I stepped fully into my role as a vendor advocate and event organizer, determined to create fair, accessible spaces where small businesses could thrive. Our first major event, Hex & Harvest Market, was born from that vision — a place where community comes before competition, where makers are treated with respect, and where the magick of connection is just as important as the sales made that day.
Now, we’re already working on a new market — one that will expand that mission even further, keeping the same heart and fairness while giving even more local makers a chance to shine.
🌙 The Birth of Open Circle
Out of that same desire to connect and uplift others, Open Circle Events was born — a collaboration with our friends at Panther’s Gate Lil Witch. Together, we wanted to bring more inclusive, magickal spaces to Colorado Springs — spaces that welcome the weirdos, witches, healers, artists, and spiritual misfits who just needed a place to belong.
Open Circle is still growing, but it’s becoming a true hub for connection, collaboration, and shared learning. We’re building this community from the ground up — one gathering, one workshop, one conversation at a time.
Our goal is to create a network where makers, mystics, and community members can support one another — not just at markets, but all year long. Through education, shared resources, and mutual encouragement, we’re creating a foundation that will help Colorado’s magickal and creative community flourish.
🌿 Collaboration as a Way of Life
Collaboration is the current that runs through everything we do. Whether we’re blending herbs late into the night, loading tables into the car before sunrise, or helping another vendor set up their tent, we believe that when we rise together, we all shine brighter.
For us, Green Magick Apothecary isn’t just a brand — it’s a community. It’s a living, breathing extension of everything we care about: creativity, connection, authenticity, and magick rooted in love and purpose.
So whether you found us through a balm that soothed your skin, a ritual soak that became your sacred pause, or a market that made you feel seen — welcome to the circle.
We’re Carol & Jon Smith — the heart and the backbone behind Green Magick Apothecary — and we’re building something that grows stronger every time we grow together. 🌙
