We’re reaching out today not with a product announcement or workshop update, but with something deeper—a message straight from our heart and hearth.

As you may have heard in the news or noticed while shopping, the landscape is shifting for small businesses across the country. With the recent implementation of new tariffs on imported goods, many of the ingredients we rely on to craft our beloved skin and self-care offerings are becoming harder to source—and more expensive.

At Green Magick Apothecary, we’ve always taken pride in sourcing the highest quality ingredients available. Our formulations begin with whole plants, pure oils, and time-tested herbal traditions. But many of these ingredients—like shea butter, coconut oil, sunflower oil, and even some of the medicinal herbs we use—are not native to the United States or are only seasonally available here in limited quantities.

We work closely with trusted wholesalers and ethical suppliers, many of whom are small businesses themselves. These recent changes in import policies are already creating ripple effects throughout the supply chain. We’ve received notices from several of our suppliers indicating:

• Prices on raw materials are increasing—sometimes sharply and without much warning

• Certain ingredients may become temporarily or even permanently unavailable

• Alternative sourcing is more limited and unpredictable than ever before

As a small-batch, heart-led business, this is an especially challenging moment. We don’t have the luxury of massive warehouses, corporate buying power, or huge profit margins. What we do have is deep integrity, a commitment to quality, and a lot of love for the craft.

Every balm, oil, and herbal potion we create is handcrafted with care, purpose, and the best ingredients we can find. We put our hearts into every jar and bottle, not just because it’s our business—but because it’s our calling.

We want to be transparent with you: the struggle is about to get real.

But we’re not backing down. We’re not compromising on quality. And we’re not stepping away from this path we’ve chosen—a path rooted in healing, herbal wisdom, and magickal self-care. We’re going to keep crafting, keep blending, and keep showing up for you with everything we’ve got.
